On Friday, 1 September 2023, EMB hosted its 13th ECOP Wednesday series event (exceptionally on a Friday) featuring Quentin Deschandelliers, who is a MEP (Member of European Parliament) assistant / lobbyist in Brussels. He talked about how to make EU politics understandable and accessible for young people. The talk will be followed by an interactive Q&A discussion. The event will be 1 hour long, from 16:00 - 17:00 CEST.  

On Wednesday 2 August 2023, EMB hosted its 12th ECOP Wednesday series event featuring Dr Eileen Diskin (University College Dublin, Ireland) and Dr Angela Stevenson (Geomar, Germany) who talked about "The Wild Postcard Project - Local biodiversity through the art of children". The talk was followed by an interactive Q&A discussion. The event was 1 hour long, from 12:00 - 13:00 CEST.  

On Wednesday 5 July 2023, EMB hosted its 11th ECOP Wednesday series event featuring Young Ambassador Riwan Leroux who spoke about about the topic "From a research project to a policy management tool". The talk was followed by an interactive Q&A discussion. The event was 1 hour long, from 12:00 - 13:00 CEST. 

On 13 June 2023, the European Marine Board (EMB) organised a webinar to present the new EMB Future Science Brief N°10 “Ocean oxygen: The role of the Ocean in the oxygen we breathe and the threat of deoxygenation”. This 1.5-hour online webinar included a presentation of the document and its main messages, a response to the document by the European Commission and a panel discussion with opportunity for Q&A. 

On Wednesday 3 May 2023, EMB hosted its 10th ECOP Wednesday series event featuring Mari Carmen García who spoke about the Spanish Oceanicas Initiative. The event was 1 hour long and took place from 12:00 - 13:00 CEST.
