
In this edition of the ECOP Wednesdays event series, hosted by the EMB Young Ambassadors and the EMB Secretariat for the EMB ECOP network, Gro Slotsvik spoke about "Transformative approaches to Ocean protection, restoration and governance".
Gro Njølstad Slotsvik is the Nature Impact Lead at GRID-Arendal. She coordinates GRID-Arendal’s work on transformative approaches to ocean protection, restoration, and governance. As part of her role, she works closely with the UN Environment Programme on marine policy, sustainable blue economy initiatives, and international ocean governance frameworks. Gro holds a Master’s degree in Environment, Development & Peace from the UN-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica, and a BA in International Relations & Japanese from the University of Leeds, UK.
In her talk, she explored how early career ocean professionals can contribute to transformative change in practical ways.
