In this edition of the ECOP Wednesdays event series, hosted by the EMB Young Ambassadors and the EMB Secretariat for the EMB ECOP network, Dr Susanna Pakkasmaa spoke about 'How to use your PhD without being an academic'.
Dr Susanna Pakkasmaa is a research advisor at the Department of Clinical Sciences, University of Bergen. She previously managed the Norwegian Marine University Consortium, and represented the Consortium at the European Marine Board. Her task is to support researchers in attracting external research funding both from national and international sources. Susanna is a research and environmental bureaucrat and a Nordic trotter. She holds a PhD in evolutionary biology from University of Helsinki, Finland.
