(new) Call for tender: Operation, development and maintenance of a European marine observation data network

Call information: The European Commission represented for the purposes of this call for tenders by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) wishes to conclude 6 service contracts. There are 6 lots: lot 1: geology, lot 2: seabed habitats, lot 3: physics, lot 4: chemistry, lot 5: biology, lot 6: human activities.

The data product to be made available in this EMODnet version has an aim to privde as fine detail as the underlying data permits. The reconstruction of submerged landscapes of the European continental shelf at various fime-frame was specificcally required for the Geology service lot.

Cultural heritage of European coastal and maritime regions (CULT-COOP-07-2017)

Call information: Research and innovation action, single stage, application by 02 February 2017, 17h00 Brussels time

Summarized scope: The research will aim at providing a comprehensive framework for the preservation of European coastal and maritime cultural landscapes. It should be geographically balanced and cover different types of European coastal and maritime cultural landscapes taking into account various historical backgrounds and the current state of these regions, as they range from the most popular destinations of mass tourism to the most peripheral regions of Europe. The research - multidisciplinary to the extent required by its inherent and explicit research approach - might combine approaches and methodologies of cultural heritage preservation, social sciences and humanities, spatial and environmental sciences. It will cover both tangible and related intangible cultural heritage in order to provide a full picture of the societal importance of the cultural heritage of the landscapes under investigation. The Commission considers that proposals requesting a contribution from the EU in the order of EUR 2.5 million would allow this specific challenge to be addressed appropriately. This does not preclude submission and selection of proposals requesting other amounts.

Call for proposals: BLUE LABS- innovative solutions for maritime challenges (EASME/EMFF/2016/1.2.1.4)

Call information: The EASME, acting under the powers delegated by the European Commission, is launching a call for proposal with a view to concluding grant agreements for projects in the field of Blue Labs: innovative solutions for maritime challenges. The Blue Labs concept works at the interface between research and commercial exploitation so that the results from research are taken forward to the market. By doing so, it aims at contributing to generate jobs and business opportunities in the blue economy.

Underwater cultural heritage is one of the 4 priority topics listed as "to develop new services, technologies or products (e.g. unmanned autonomous vehicles/robotic systems/etc.) to discover, protect and value underwater cultural heritage.

Call for proposals: Thematic Routes on Underwater Cultural Heritage (EASME/EMFF/2015/1.2.1.8)

Call information: The Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Entreprises (EASME) launched a call for proposal under the powers delegated by the European Commision with a view to concluding grant, agreements, each valid for maximum period of 18 months, for the conduction of projects in the field of thematic routes on underwater cultural heritage.

(Extended) Deadline for submission: 15 April 2016, 16h00 (Brussels time)

Starting date of the action (indicative): August 2016

Budget: The total budget earmarked for the co-financing of projects amounts to €195,000. The EASME expects to fund 2-3 proposals.

General Objectives: The general objective of this action is to promote the creation of touristic thematic routes n underwater cultural heritage and its preservation as a way to promote the competitiveness of the coastal and maritime tourism sector and to promote diversification in tourism offer. The present Call for Proposals aims at awarding grants for two to three projects aiming at the conception, development, establishment and promotion of a tourism product in the field of underwater cultural heritage routes in European sea-basins.
