60 stakeholders and partners of the EU FP7 SEAS-ERA project are meeting today at the last edition of the SEAS-ERA Strategic Forum, organized by the EMB as project partner. At the end of the project's 48-month lifespan (SEAS-ERA is ending on 30 April), the forum provides an opportunity to showcase the key SEAS-ERA outputs to external stakeholders, discuss the project's legacy, and exchange on future mechanisms for national marine research cooperation and programming.

In this Forum, the EMB Secretariat delivers a report entitled “Pan-European Analysis of the SEAS-ERA Sea Basin Strategic Research Agendas” (D.1.3.2). This report analyzed the commonalities and differences of the research strategies between the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Black Sea, the three sea basins of the FP7 SEAS-ERA project. The report gives a high-level summary of the research strategies published previously between 2011 and 2013 and will facilitate the uptake of the recommendations and alignment between national agencies and European coordination frameworks.
